The Etna Wine Tour is an enchanting experience that takes its first steps from total immersion in the surrounding environment, from the basaltic soil to the slopes of the volcano into the valley where our vineyards open to the view of the Nebrodi mountain chain, a spectacle in the show.
Strolling through the hectares cultivated by Firriato, divided into two terraces, is a continuous discovery among the vines of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Minnella, the main vines of the volcano.
These are the places where famous wines are produced: Etna DOC, Cavanera Ripa di Scorciavacca and Cavanera Rovo delle Coturnie and the prodigious Gaudensius, a classic method sparkling wine from Nerello Mascalese grapes harvested in advance of their natural maturation.
The wine tour offers intense moments living from the stories of the guides through a universe of natural and anthropological peculiarities that characterize the world of Etna and the production of wine according to Firriato.
The route moves through the avenue that runs alongside the main vineyard until it reaches its highest point, seeing the stratifications of the Etna soil formed in the last 500,000 years.

The privileged who will stay in the Cavanera Resort during the harvest period will enjoy an exclusive experience, that of being able to taste the grapes directly from the plant.
The route continues towards the cellar where the grapes are immediately vinified to preserve the organoleptic characteristics.
To leave an indelible mark on the heart, we will continue towards the vault where the Gaudensius bottles rest.
At the end of the Firriato wine tour there is a visit to the ancient millstone of the eighteenth century, inside the patronal house, an original structure with the lava stone tanks and its wooden structures where important pages of the history of ‘Etna.
